Free and Clear in Christ

My mind is now clear of a lifetime of confusion and frustration; Jesus has given me a good heart. I recognize now that the good and bad heart, as I was taught, was a mixing of the old with the new covenant. This I clearly understand now is so senseless and harmful; it can only lead to guilt, shame and discouragement. 

Heb. 10:9 says it all in regards to the old covenant being old is “He takes away the first that he may establish the second.”  In the old covenant “God’s law was a shadow of good things to come and not the very image of the things” Heb. 10:1 Through my acknowledgement and acceptance of what Jesus has done for me, I have been brought into the Trinity and I am in a relationship with the Father, I am able to relate to him as Jesus relates to Him.  I am in Him – He is in me.  Because of this indwelling I have a good heart.

The coming of Jesus is not only about the taking away of sin but also about the life it brings to us.  The very life he himself enjoys with the Father and the Holy Spirit. I am not a sinner saved by grace (as I was taught); He took that sin once and for all and wiped out the laws against me. He is always present, He is able, I am able, He lives through me.  He is the reality of the abundant life. My relationship is sealed because I am united with Christ.  I am always in union with God.  There is no need to hide or be ashamed, for others are no longer my measuring stick  

I have sadness for the pastors, the people in churches and those who once attended, for the religious theology taught.  It has such a negative effect, causing much discouragement in so many Christians.  It robs them of their joy, the party they could be having in their hearts.  The mixture of law and grace is total madness!  The endless self effort is not necessary. The revelation of seeing and understanding the scriptures in the light of my good heart and Jesus’ finished work excites me.
